About the Company

Our client is an innovative European fintech backed by a consortium of leading international banks. The company is building a fully regulated, euro-backed stablecoin and the blockchain infrastructure powering real-time digital payments across Europe.

Operating at the intersection of traditional banking, blockchain technology, and financial regulation, they are creating the foundation for a new generation of digital money. To strengthen their growing engineering team, they are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer (AI-Driven Development & Tooling) who will build scalable testing frameworks, AI-powered tooling, and automated quality processes in a highly regulated environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and build deterministic integration and end-to-end test frameworks across backend services and frontend applications.
  • Develop scalable Quality Engineering tooling using Python and modern automation practices.
  • Implement automated quality gates across multiple repositories to enforce code quality, security, and test coverage.
  • Build and maintain consumer-driven contract testing for internal services and external partner integrations.
  • Design AI-assisted workflows that accelerate development while ensuring human verification of regulatory-relevant artefacts.
  • Automate audit-ready reporting and evidence collection in line with ISO 27001 and financial regulations.
  • Build secure, deterministic test data generation processes.
  • Partner with software engineers to improve testing strategies, increase automation, and establish quality as a shared engineering responsibility.

Your Profil

  • Several years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Software Engineer in Test, Test Automation Engineer, or a similar role.
  • Strong experience with automated testing across frontend, backend, and CI/CD environments.
  • Excellent programming or scripting skills, ideally in Python.
  • Experience with API, integration, end-to-end, and contract testing.
  • Strong understanding of AI-assisted software development and the ability to critically validate AI-generated output.
  • Familiarity with regulated environments such as fintech, banking, or payments is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • Kotlin, Spring, JUnit 5, Gradle, MockK, or Testcontainers.
  • Pact and consumer-driven contract testing.
  • Blockchain or smart contract testing (Hardhat, Solidity, Ethereum).
  • Experience building AI-agent workflows or developer tooling.
