The following challenges await you:

• As an expert, you will contribute your knowledge to research and development projects for the development of materials and glasses for cutting-edge optical technologies.
• You will develop new processes and optimise existing hot processing methods for glass.
• You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and external partners.
• You will present development progress and research results at national and international specialist conferences.
• You will also be responsible for planning, carrying out and statistically analysing experiments.

Your Profile:

• Successfully completed studies in physics, materials science or a related field — doctorate desirable
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in research and development, preferably in materials science or optics
• In-depth knowledge of the properties of materials and glasses for optical applications or lithography
• Knowledge of hot working processes is an advantage
• Expertise in experimental design and statistical analysis
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to present at national and international conferences
• Fluency in German and English
