Tasks
To strengthen the IT team, we are seeking a Team Lead for SAP Business Applications. This role combines disciplinary leadership with strategic responsibility for the SAP application landscape, overseeing a team of SAP consultants and developers. You will play a key role in driving change, setting priorities, and shaping SAP-based solutions that support core business processes.
Team Lead SAP Business Applications (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities:
- Provide disciplinary and professional leadership, mentoring, and development of the SAP Business Applications team
- Define and further develop the SAP architecture within the broader IT landscape
- Oversee the ongoing development, enhancement, and support of the SAP application environment (including S/4HANA, SAP Cloud solutions, add-ons, and system interfaces)
- Advise business units and affiliated organisations on the optimisation, standardisation, and digitalisation of processes using SAP functionalities
- Analyse, evaluate, and implement business requirements in close collaboration with internal departments, external SAP consulting partners, and IT stakeholders
- Coordinate and manage external SAP consultants and service providers, ensuring effective delivery and alignment with internal standards
Profile
- Completed degree in information systems, business IT, or a comparable technical/business qualification
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams in both disciplinary and professional contexts
- Strong knowledge of SAP systems, core processes, and application support within the broader SAP solution landscape
- Several years of hands-on experience in SAP consulting, implementation, and system enhancement projects
- Solid project management skills with practical experience delivering complex system rollouts and cross-functional SAP initiatives
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
