Procurement manager (m/w/d)
Job Description:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement processes, policies, and IT systems to support a streamlined and well-monitored operation across the group.
The Procurement Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the procurement function across the hotel group's portfolio, ensuring that goods and services are sourced at competitive prices without compromising on quality.
This role requires strong negotiation skills, a strategic approach to purchasing, and an understanding of the hospitality industry's unique needs. The Procurement Manager will work closely with other departments to support operational requirements and drive cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies and IT sysytems that align with the hotel's operational needs and financial objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with department heads to forecast demand for various products and services.
- Conduct regular market research to identify trends, new suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate procurement reports, including cost analysis and budget forecasts.
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to track expenses and manage the procurement budget.
- Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain management, purchasing principles, and cost control.
- Proficiency in English and German is required; knowledge of Italian or Spanish is an advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant procurement software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
