Open Casting: Character Performer Asterix & Obelix (m/f/d)

BELANTIS Theme Park is looking for Character Performers to bring Asterix and Obelix to life – and we’re kicking things off with an open casting on January 31 and February 1.

Starting in 2026, Idéfix’ Adventure Land will bring the spirit of Gaul to BELANTIS as part of the park’s transformation into an Asterix Park (by 2030/2031). From day one, you can be part of this exciting journey.

(Costume fittings take place in January. Employment starts from March.)

Your Role

• Portray Asterix or Obelix in costume during Meet & Greets, street entertainment and parades
• Interact with guests, pose for photos and create unforgettable moments
• Perform movements and character traits learned in professional training with our French colleagues
• Represent iconic comic heroes and help shape the future of Leipzig’s theme park

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Height requirements1.50–1.55 m, clothing size S / EU 36 or 1.80–1.90 m, clothing size M/L
• Enjoy working with guests and performing in character
• Physically resilient (costumes are heavy, warm, and the vision is limited)
• Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• German required; French and/or English are a plus
• Interest in a recurring seasonal position

Your adventure

Contract & Working Hours

• Seasonal contract (April–October), full-time or part-time
• 5 out of 7 days per week
• Working hours aligned with park opening times:10:00–17:00 / 10:00–18:00 (summer holidays)11:00–21:00 (last two weeks of October)
• Paid costume breaks

Team & Work Environment
