We are partnering with an innovative AI medical devices company based in Hannover that is transforming healthcare through cutting-edge software and intelligent technologies. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Software Team Leader to lead a high-performing engineering team delivering next-generation medical solutions.
Tasks
The Role
As Software Team Leader, you will oversee the development of complex software systems used within advanced AI-driven medical devices. You will combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, mentoring engineers while driving delivery, quality, and innovation across the software function.
Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
• Drive software architecture, design, and development activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI, product, QA, and regulatory teams
• Ensure software development aligns with medical device standards and best practices
• Manage agile development processes and technical delivery timelines
• Support continuous improvement, innovation, and scalability across engineering teams
Profile
Requirements
• Strong experience in software development leadership/team management
• Background in medical devices, healthcare technology, or other regulated environments preferred
• Experience with modern software development practices and architectures
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, cloud platforms, or AI-based applications is advantageous
• Fluent German language skills are essential
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
