General Manager (d/w/m)
The General Manager (m/w/d) assumes full responsibility for the strategic managing processes and the critical path. In this pivotal role, they will diligently coordinate, supervise, and provide leadership throughout the entire spectrum of business operations and management, working closely with department heads to oversee our exquisite property. Their primary duty is to oversee the seamless execution of all operational facets at our well established Precise Hotel.
Precise Hotels are known for their expertise in hosting a diverse range of events, from intimate meetings to large-scale conferences, and exhibitions (MICE). We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Hotel General Manager (m/w/d) with a solid track record in hotel management and a dedicated focus on optimizing MICE operations. By taking the helm of our team, this exceptional candidate will play a vital role in elevating our standing as the foremost MICE destination in the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational and business management of the hotel
- Selection, development and support of employees
- Complaint handling
- Representation on the local market
- Organization of processes in the entire hotel operation
- Preparation of budgets and reports
- Communicative interface to the company headquarters
- Collaborate with the Sales & Revenue Team to formulate and execute comprehensive strategic business plans aimed at sourcing, stimulating, and amplifying revenue across diverse market segments within our property.
- monitoring results and adjusting strategies and activities to make sure objectives and targets are being met
- Manage and lead the hotel team from recruitment and induction through to team development, encouraging a highly proactive and high performing environment that ultimately allows the team to deliver on objectives
- Ensure close working relationships with the Precise Hotels & Resorts Head Office
- Collaborate with key teams ensuring key information and insights are shared and strong relationships are built to ensure everyone is effectively working together to drive top line operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Drive Sales efforts across all market segments, corporate, MICE and leisure businesses in strong cooperation with our sales and revenue team
- Continuously review budget versus forecast and support the budget delivery with appropriate strategies and tactics
- Maximize opportunities and align strategies with the budget objective to achieve commercial goals in close cooperation with the Revenue Team and other stakeholders involved
- Constantly monitor and evaluate existing and potential business opportunities through trend analytics, always aware of new opportunities in the market with the objective to build strategic partnerships
- Provide and maintain up-to-date knowledge of market dynamics locally, regionally and internationally to provide valuable input towards strategy development plan and to stand ahead of the competition
- Develop, nurture and maintain strong solid relationships with potential and current guests, agents and key partners to maximise business opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong team leadership, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them
- 5+ years experience as General Manager within the German hospitality market
- Fluency in German and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Knowledge of tourism and corporate event industry is a distinct advantage
- Combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach
- Excellent relationship builder, confident in working with other teams and leaders; you’re passionate about what we can achieve together
- Analyse, interpret and understand financial data as it relates to sales performance.
