Our client is an international technology business operating within a highly specialised manufacturing environment. Due to continued growth and increasing international reporting requirements, they are looking to hire a hands-on Finance Manager to support the local German finance function and act as the key interface to the international headquarters.
Tasks
This is not a pure strategic CFO role.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the numbers, operating within SAP, owning reporting and accounting processes, and supporting a lean but highly important finance function.
You will join a small finance team consisting of accountants and controlling functions while acting as the local finance lead for Germany.
Your Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB
- Support quarterly and year-end US GAAP consolidation reporting
- Ownership of month-end and year-end closing activities
- Preparation of reconciliation files and reporting packages
- Main contact person for auditors, tax advisors and international headquarters
- Management of VAT-related topics, tax preparation support and compliance activities
- Supporting transfer pricing and cross-border finance processes
- Working directly within SAP finance processes and postings
- Supporting payroll/payment approvals and cash management processes
- Inventory, asset and manufacturing-related finance activities
- Budgeting, forecasting and operational finance support
- Supporting ongoing ERP/SAP optimisation and future S/4HANA-related activities
Profile
What We Are Looking For
- Strong background within accounting and finance operations
- Experience with HGB reporting and monthly/year-end closings
- Exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP
- SAP finance experience (R3 or S/4HANA)
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial or production environments
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment within a smaller finance team
- Experience working with auditors and tax advisors
- Understanding of VAT, reconciliations and finance compliance processes
- Strong communication skills in both German and English
Nice To Have
- International group reporting exposure
- Manufacturing costing / inventory experience
- SOX, transfer pricing or cross-border VAT exposure
- SAP implementation or migration experience
- Experience supporting international HQ structures

We offer
