Responsobilities

  • Full ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities under German GAAP (HGB)

  • Responsibility for general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness

  • Leadership and development of an accounting team of approximately five FTE, including task prioritization, coaching, and performance management

  • Oversight of project-based accounting in an engineering/services environment, including correct revenue and cost allocation

  • Selective involvement in financial controlling topics (approx. 20%), including variance analyses and management support

  • Establishment and continuous improvement of internal controls, accounting standards, and documentation aligned with group and private equity requirements

  • Preparation of structured and transparent reporting packages for the holding organization

  • Close collaboration with Finance, HR, operational leadership, as well as external advisors and auditors

  • Active contribution to system and process transformation, including the transition from DATEV to Microsoft Business Central

Profile

  • Completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification

  • Several years of professional experience in financial accounting under German GAAP (HGB)

  • Proven hands-on responsibility for monthly closing processes in complex organizational structures

  • Leadership experience, including direct responsibility for teams with multiple employees (FTE)

  • Experience in a private equity-driven environment is a strong advantage

  • Fluent German and English skills (business proficiency)
